Privacy Policy
Effective [DATE TO BE SET AT LAUNCH]
This policy explains what information Portland Westside Living collects, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers portlandwestsideliving.com and its guides: New Homes, Explore Schools, 55+ & Retirement, Property Taxes and Commute Compare.
Who we are
Portland Westside Living is the website of Jen Nunnerley, a licensed Oregon real estate broker with Premiere Property Group, LLC. “We” and “us” in this policy mean Jen and the people who run the site for her.
Questions about your information: email jen@nunnerleyhomes.com, call or text 503-718-8651, or write to Jen Nunnerley, Premiere Property Group, LLC, 9755 SW Barnes Road, Suite 560, Portland, OR 97225.
What we collect and why
You can read every page without telling us who you are. We only collect information you choose to send, plus the basic records every web server keeps.
Ask Jen questions
When you ask Jen a question on any page, we keep your first name, the question (typed, or your voice recording if you record it), the page or listing you asked from, and the mobile number and email address you give. We use them so Jen can answer you, and for nothing else.
The home value form
When you ask what your home is worth, we keep the address, city and zip code, the features you describe, whether you own the home, and your name, email and mobile number. Jen uses them to prepare your home’s value and reply to you. The form goes through Ask Jen, so everything in this policy about Ask Jen applies to it too.
The New Homes shortlist
When you send your shortlist from New Homes, we keep your name, email address and the communities on your list. Jen may contact you about those homes. Jen won’t add you to a newsletter or mailing list from your shortlist. If she starts one, the form will ask you separately.
Records that protect the forms
To stop abuse, each form keeps a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address instead of the address itself, and the browser and device name your browser reports. When you view or click a featured builder on New Homes, we count it once a day with the same scrambled code, so the builder can see how many people looked. No cookies are used for this.
Server records
Like most websites, our web server records each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page asked for and whether it was delivered. We use these records to keep the site working and secure.
Text messages
Jen texts you only if you give a mobile number and tick “Text me” on the form. Her text comes from her own phone, one-to-one, in reply to what you asked. We don’t send marketing texts and don’t use a texting service. Message and data rates may apply. To stop texts, reply STOP or tell Jen, and she won’t text you again.
How an AI assistant helps Jen
When a question arrives, an AI assistant prepares notes for Jen: a summary of the question, the facts the sites show about the community, school or home it is about, what to check, and a suggested reply. A recorded question is turned into text first, on our own server.
The assistant sees only the question, the page or address it is about, and what the sites already show. It never sees your name, phone number or email address, and it never contacts you. Jen reads the notes, checks them and writes and sends every answer herself.
The assistant is Claude, made by Anthropic. Anthropic doesn’t use these questions to train its models.
Who else sees your information
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it for advertising. Only these service providers handle it, and only to run the site:
- Amazon Web Services hosts the web server where your questions, forms and server records are kept, and the separate server that holds our backups.
- Google runs Jen’s email. Jen gets an email about a question she hasn’t opened after 15 minutes (with your name and the start of your question), and email answers are sent from her account. Google also supplies the site’s fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- Anthropic runs the AI assistant described above, which sees no contact details.
- Apple or Google’s notification service delivers alerts to Jen’s phone. The alert names only the page, listing or home address a question is about, never who asked, and it is encrypted so the service can’t read it.
- InterServer, Inc., in the United States, runs the server where recordings are turned into text and the AI notes are prepared.
If you become Jen’s client, Premiere Property Group, LLC keeps the records Oregon law requires for real estate transactions. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
The public site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Your browser stores nothing for us. Because nothing follows you from page to page or from site to site, a browser’s “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal changes nothing here; we honor both anyway, and would before adding anything that tracks.
How long we keep it
- Ask Jen questions and recordings, including home value requests: deleted after one year. Questions marked as spam are deleted after a week.
- A link to Jen’s recorded answer stops working after 90 days.
- The AI assistant’s working copy of a question (without your contact details) is deleted within days.
- New Homes shortlists: deleted two years after your last contact with Jen.
- Backups: copies of the questions and shortlists are kept for up to eight weeks.
- Server records: deleted after 90 days.
- Emails between you and Jen stay in her email account. Jen keeps them as long as her work and Oregon’s rules for real estate records require.
How we protect it
Every page and form uses an encrypted (https) connection. Your questions, recordings and shortlists are kept outside the website’s public folders and can be read only by the services that need them. Backups are copied over an encrypted connection to a separate server. Jen’s answer page opens only with a sign-in code sent to her email. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to keep your information safe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email jen@nunnerleyhomes.com or call 503-718-8651. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we will answer within 45 days. If we say no, tell us and we will look at it again. If you are still unhappy, you can contact the Oregon Department of Justice.
Oregon’s Consumer Privacy Act gives these rights to Oregon residents when it applies to a business. Jen honors these requests from everyone, wherever they live.
Children
This site is for adults buying, selling or researching homes. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The guides link to builders, schools, communities, government agencies and Jen’s Facebook group. Those sites have their own privacy policies; this one doesn’t cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
Ask Jen a question
Thinking about a move on the Portland Westside, buying, or selling? Type it or say it. Jen answers herself, usually within a few hours, by text or email.
