Portland Westside Events, December 1-3, 2023
Can you believe that today is the first day of December? This means we are officially in the winter holiday season. I love this time of year. It’s a time to celebrate with friends and family. I love watching the metro area light up with decorations and lights as we get closer to Christmas.
Here are some of my favorite events to kick off the season…
Friday, December 1
- Festival of Trees: Sensory-Friendly Holiday Experience | 9am-1pm | Oregon Convention Center | A morning of fun activities that are accessible to guests of all abilities including holiday entertainment, festive trees, an elf scavenger, photos with Santa, and more.
- Christmas Ships Parade | 7pm | Columbia River | Head to North Portland this evening for “opening night” of the 69th Annual Christmas Ships Parade. Can’t make it tonight? Don’t worry! The parade will continue nightly through December 17 on both the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Click here for a full parade schedule.
- Singing Christmas Tree | 7pm | Sunset Church – Beaverton | Celebrate Christmas as you listen to three hundred-voice choir sing favorite holiday songs. Click here to purchase tickets.
Saturday, December 2
- My People’s Market | 11am-5pm | Oregon Convention Center | Get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping at one of Portland’s most diverse and vibrant markets. This two day market will feature over 150 small businesses, main stage entertainment, crafts, and activities.
- Portland Holiday Brew Fest | 10am-5pm | Pioneer Square | After a three year hiatus, the Holiday Brew Fest is back “to bring beer and cheer back to the square”.
- Tumwater Vineyard Winter Market | 11am-5:30pm | West Linn | This is your chance to enjoy some holiday shopping while sipping on wine at Tumwater Vineyards.
- Mountainside Winter Market at Hoffman Farms | 10am-5pm | Beaverton | Get into the holiday spirit with 28 different vendors set up in the Butler Barn at Hoffman Farms.
